The Emerging Contaminants in the Aquatic Environment Conference is designed to gather researchers, educators, businesses, government officials, agency staff, policy-makers, extension professionals, public health professionals, environmental interest group representatives, and members of the public to discuss contaminants of emerging concern and their effects on aquatic ecosystems. Topics of interest include pharmaceuticals, microplastics, and other contaminants of concern. This conference is a follow up to an event held in April of 2016, which addressed similar issues.
