Abstract

The purpose of this publication is to develop some "best practices" for addressing coastal hazards like bluff erosion in Wisconsin. Many of these best practices are based on ordinanaces that have already been enacted in Wisconsin coastal communities. Other best practices are drawn from other coastal states. Each best practice is accompanied by explanatory language, and also can be adapted to address locally identified needs.
