Abstract

The No Adverse Impact (NAI) Toolkit was developed to help practicioners and local officials incorporate the core tentants of NAI into on-going community initiatives. The acitivities, strategies, and approaches highlighted within this toolkit can improve local floodplain management programs. The tools described in this toolkit are related to seven different topics including: 1. hazard idetification and floodplain mapping, 2. education and outreach, 3. planning, 4. regulations and development standards, 5. mitigation, 6. infrastrucutre, and 7. emergency services.
